DAN Courses

Policies and Student Agreement

By registering for a DAN first aid course with D & K Scuba Adventures, you indicate that you agree to the following policies, terms and conditions.

Payment

Payment in full is due prior to the start of the training course. Partial payment equal to the cost the training materials is required to reserve you place in a class. Course materials or eLearning links will not be available until the cost of the material is deposited for the class.

eLearning

When you register for the class, you will be asked for a valid email address that you wish to use for signing into the DAN eLearning platform. If you do not receive an email link to the DAN eLearning Portal, contact D & K Scuba Adventures so we can trouble shoot the situation and get you started.  You must complete DAN eLearning prior to your first course session. Your instructor will verify your completion on the DAN eLearning website. Students who have not completed the DAN eLearning course will be unable to participate in additional training sessions.

Rescheduling

A $35 reschedule fee will apply if you choose to reschedule your course less than 14 days prior to the course start date.

If you are not able to arrive on-time for your course sessions, it may be necessary for you to reschedule your course to later date or arrange a make-up session. A reschedule fee and additional charges for training time will apply.

D & K Scuba Adventures reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule any class segment  based on number of participants, or any unforeseen circumstances. There will be no reschedule fee in this case.

Withdraw

Charges for DAN training materials and personal protection equipment are non-refundable. Returns are not accepted if the materials have been used, contain any pen or pencil marks, or are not in new condition.

Course tuition is refundable only if you withdraw from your course at least 14 days prior to the start date of the course.

Course tuition is non-refundable once your scheduled class has started.

Certification

Our DAN instructors will do their very best to provide a positive learning environment, answer your questions completely, assist you with challenges, and ensure you meet all training requirements necessary for certification. However, DAN instructors are under no obligation to issue you a DAN certification and there is no guarantee that you will be certified. Training requirements are performance based and the instructor must be sure that you have completed all training modules according to DAN standards.

Should you not be able to meet the course performance requirements in the scheduled time frame, we will continue to work with you to achieve your DAN certification. Additional charges will apply for additional training sessions beyond those listed on your course schedule.
